Solar Power

Solar power is the process of taking the energy radiated down by the sun everyday and turning it into useful applications such as heat and electricity. In the past the feasibility of solar power was limited to its high price and inefficiency. However, great strides have been made in technology, like photovoltaic cells, that have dropped its price substantially. Researchers are currently working on cells that can use the full light spectrum and thus increase output and efficiency.

There has been an increasing amount of research in solar power satellites, which can produce more electricity because the suns rays do not have to travel through the atmosphere.

Solar power is an innovative technology, which is becoming increasingly feasible.
